PROJECTS FINANCE BY ITALIAN SCIENTIFIC & TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT (MURST)
AGISCO claimed 3 financing projects so called MURST financed by a tax credit scheme from the Research Ministry given to SME. In particular:
- 1999 “Research of new technologies for measuring small displacement on large structures”.
- 2000 “Development of the behaviour of an analysis and supervision system of a flood control in dams”.
- 2001 “Completion of research for an automatic measuring system for measuring the deformations and control of large structures such as industrial storage units, consolidation work for unstable landscapes, and landslides and construction of diaphragm walls”.
PROJECTS FINANCED BY THE EU
2001 AGISCO received from the EU pre-financing for an Exploratory Award Contract for a feasibility study for a new telecoordinometer as part of the EU’s “Competitive & Sustainable Growth” programme.
AGISCO thus became the lead in the consortium formed with three other international partners from Portugal, France and Greece and a major Italian research centre. The consortium cooperated in the research of a new Plumb Line Universal Automatic Monitoring System ) (PLUS). The project started in September 2002 and was completed in December 2004. The system prototype was installed in the famous medieval belltower the Ghirlandina in Modena a UNESCO world heritage site. The 30m long plumb line is part of the monitoring system to protect this outstanding example of medieval ecclesiastical architecture.
In addition
AGISCO participated with 7 international partners eg University of Petras, and University of East Anglia to the research project called SHIELDS (Safeguard Hydrocarbons Inside Earthquake Local Defence Systems) financed by EU (1999-2003). The object of the project is to prevent damaging gas leakage after a seismic disaster.
